[...]  Una valutazione particolare va rivolta al baritono dell'Opera Nazionale di Bucarest Vasile Chisiu che ha vestito degnamente e con grande rilievo vocale/scenico i panni di Gerard. 

<…>  Chisiu canta con proprietà e, astenendosi da certi manierismi ed effetti che tanto le platee amano ancor oggi, soprattutto in certi ruoli veristi, vedi Tonio, Canio e appunto Carlo Gerard, compie una raffinata operazione costruendo, con una interessante linea di canto, un personaggio ben scolpito di notevole efficacia vocale e scenica.
Chisiu accenta, alleggerisce, sfuma, colora, fraseggia significativamente e lega, all'occorrenza, con maestria delineando un personaggio sofferente e nobile così come penso vada reso. Questo Baritono non si limita ad essere corretto cantando, ma interpreta sapientemente con una emissione incisiva nel fraseggio nei passi declamatori, senza abbandonarsi mai alla stentoreità, ed il suo Gerard si connota per precisione, calore, vigore sia nella passione che nella perorazione e quanto rende al pubblico è oggi cosa non consueta a sentirsi. 

<…>Una valida interpretazione quella di Chisiu che merita il plauso non solo del pubblico che tanto ha mostrato di gradire. [...]
